Collaborations

RMMR Projects

Before Alicia Redman formed Whitford Studios, she did several projects with Amanda Medsger through their joint company, RMMR Projects. Though Redman and Medsger have professionally parted ways, they remain great friends and are both still working in the industry. Here is some of the work they did together under the company, RMMR Projects.

McDuffie Residence

This young couple wanted to open up their Houston Montrose home to bring the dining and kitchen together after a fire tragically forced them to renovate. We wanted to bring a fresh and cool vibe to the home by using light and airy colors mixed with natural materials.

Woodbar

Woodbar is a bakery and cafe during the day, and a bar in the evening. We wanted our design to reflect these two distinct functions of the space so we played with the ceiling height and color shifts. The minimalist approach that Scandinavian barns display was our primary inspiration and influenced Woodbar's pitched ceiling and clean use of materials.

Smith Residence

Our client wanted a bold new look for her kitchen that was something unique and not typically seen. This lead us to use custom cabinetry in high-gloss lacquer rosewood. The finished product is a striking and original kitchen that opens up to the living room, also furnished by us.

Gabriel Residence

Our client wanted her Montrose home to be more inviting and eclectic, and to reflect her personality. The Mexican tile for the fireplace served as our main inspiration from which we pulled colors and textures for the entire space.

Shade

Shade is an established restaurant in the Houston Heights serving American cuisine since 2003. It was time for the restaurant to evolve and grow the way the neighborhood has, so we revamped the space with clean lines and textures.
